Notes
This is the trailer/promo film for the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival 2012, which was the first time this film festival was held. It was held 2—7 October 2012 in Bordeaux, France.

Adéle’s connection to Bordeaux
Adèle was performing in the Chekov play La Mouette (The Seagull), in Bordeaux at the time of the film festival.
Adèle’s career at this time
This film festival in Bordeaux had Adèle as the muse for its first film festival (2012), when Adèle was an early career actress, aged 23. If we recall 2012 in Adèle’s career—she was a young woman who had burst onto the scene. In 2011 she had been in three films screened as part of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, being L’Apollonide, En VIlle, and Après le Sud. In 2012 Adèle won the Prix Lumière Du Meilleure Espoir Féminin (award shared with L’Apollonide colleagues Céline Sallette & Alice Barnole), she was one of the Révélation des Césars, and she was nominated for César for the Best new actress (Le Meilleur Espoir Féminin Aux Césars 2012*). That year she also won a ‘Shooting Stars Award’ for being one of the top 10 young actors in Europe, which was awarded at the Berlinale in 2012 (more about this award in coming days).
[*Trivia: also up for this award was Zoé Héran, the young actress in Céline Sciamma’s film Tomboy.]
Ongoing relationship of FIFIB
The FIFIB has maintained a lovely relationship with Adèle—they congratulate her on her wins and backed her up when she made public her accusations of abuse in November 2019. They made an insightful and fabulous choice back in 2012 when they chose a young up and coming actress as the face of their festival.

Céline Sciamma & FIFIB 2015
Another connection to this film festival is that in 2015 the jury of the festival was chaired by Valéria Golino, and Céline Sciamma was a member of the jury.
